Terms and Conditions The Hintzpeter Awards Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the HAOC“) provides internet-related services through the Hintzpeter Awards website (hereinafter referred to as “the website") and articulates the conditions, procedures and other necessary matters necessary for users to use this service as follows. The website(s) operated by this organization are as follows: ※ Hintzpeter Award website Article 1 Definition ① The website is an Internet service operated by the HAOC to provide various related information and to communicate with users. ② “User” refers to an individual who accesses the website and uses this website in accordance with these terms and conditions. ③ "Member" refers to a user who has submitted personal information and registered as a member according to the format provided by the HAOC. ④ “E-mail address” refers to the e-mail address of an individual member registered on the website , and is used to identify the user as a member. ⑤ "Password" refers to a combination of letters and numbers determined by the member to protect the member's information and confirm that the person who intends to use member-only services is the same person who registered under the respective member's email address. Article 2 Implementation and Change of Terms and Conditions ① The terms and conditions will become effective by posting them on the website and disclosing them to users. ② The website provides services to users on the condition that they agree and comply with the terms and conditions. Anyone who uses this website is deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions. ③ The HAOC may change the terms and conditions to their discretion, and the changed terms and conditions become effective in the same way as described in article 1above. ④ If a user does not agree to the revised terms and conditions, the user may cancel their use, and if the user continues their usage under the revised terms and conditions, they are deemed to have agreed to the revised terms and conditions. Article 3 Obligations of the HAOC ① The HAOC shall not disclose or distribute the user's personal information to others without the consent of the user. ② The HAOC shall not act against public order and morals or in a way prohibited by relevant laws and these terms and conditions. ③ The HAOC shall do its best to protect users' information in ways such as taking technical safety measures. ④ The HAOC does not send commercial e-mails for commercial purposes against user preference. Article 4 User Obligations ① Users must comply with the terms and conditions and related laws. ② Users are prohibited from the following actions: 1. Registering false information when applying for membership or changing information; 2. Stealing someone else's email address, password, or personal information; 3. Changing or deleting part or all of the information posted on the website; 4. Harming or intentionally interfering with the work of the HAOC, such as hacking the server; 5. Violating intellectual property rights such as copyrights of the HAOC or a third party; 6. Damaging the honor of the HAOC or a third party or interfering with business; 7. Using the service for the purpose of pursuing profit; 8. Disclosing or posting obscene or violent text, video, audio, or other content contrary to public order and morals on this website; 9. Planning or executing the use of the service for the purpose of hindering the national interest or social public interest; 10. Acts related to criminal acts; and 11. Acts that violate other terms and conditions or related laws. ③ Members cannot transfer, donate, or use as collateral the right to use the service or other status in the contract of use to others. Article 5 Membership Registration ① A user who wishes to join as a member agrees to the terms and conditions and applies for membership by filling in and submitting member information according to the registration form set by the HAOC ② The HAOC does not approve membership in the following cases: ● 1. When applying in the name of another person; or ● 2. When applying with false information in the application form. Article 6 Membership Withdrawal and Loss of Qualification ① Members can request withdrawal from the website at any time. Members who wish to withdraw must directly access the information modification page of the website and apply for withdrawal online. ② The HAOC may limit, suspend, or cancel membership without prior notice for any of the following reasons: 1. In the case false information is registered when applying for membership or changing information; 2. When the same user double-registers with a different e-mail address; 3. Theft of someone else's e-mail address or password; 4. If any and all content posted on the website is arbitrarily changed or deleted; 5. If the server of this website is hacked, etc. or if the service is harmed or intentionally interfered with; 6. In the case of infringement of intellectual property rights such as copyrights of the organizing committee or a third party; 7. In the case of damaging the honor of the organizing committee or a third party or interfering with business; 8. When using the service for the purpose of pursuing profit; 9. Disclosure or posting obscene or violent texts, images, voices, and other content contrary to public order, morals, and/or laws; 10. When a user plans or executes the use of the service for the purpose of hindering the national or social public interest; 11. In case of criminal activity; or 12. Violation of other terms and conditions or related laws. Article 7 Obligations for Members' E-mail Address and Password ① Members are responsible for all management of e-mail addresses and passwords. ② Members must not allow their e-mail address and password to be used by a third party. ③ If the member's e-mail address or password is used illegally, the member must notify the organization of that fact and follow the instructions of the respective organization. Article 8 Protection of Personal Information ① The HAOC collects the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide the service. ② When the HAOC collects personal information that can identify users' personal information, it obtains the consent of the individual. ③ The personal information provided by the user is thoroughly protected in accordance with these terms and conditions and is used as follows: ● 1. Statistical analysis for service improvement and supplementation; and ● 2. Smooth communication between users and the organizing committee. ④ The provided personal information cannot be used for other purposes or provided to a third party without the consent of the person in question, and all responsibility for this is the responsibility of the organization with the exception of the following cases: ● 1. When it is necessary for statistics, academic research, or market research in an unidentifiable form; or ● 2. When there is an unavoidable reason required by law, such as the purpose of investigation for a crime. Article 9 User's Posts ① Users may post on the website or distribute through this website only content that does not violate copyright or intellectual property rights or content that the author has been permitted to distribute through the website. ② The user permanently grants the HAOC non-exclusive free use of the contents posted on the of the website. The HAOC may use, reproduce, publish, translate, and license users' posts in any form, medium, or technology to be developed in the current or future copyright period, in whole or in part, or in other works, and distribute them worldwide. ③ In the event of infringement of copyright or intellectual property rights or other damage to a user's post, the user shall be responsible for all damages, and in such cases, the HAOC shall not be responsible for compensation. ④ The HAOC may delete the user's post without prior notice if it is determined the following applies: ● 1. If the content is inappropriate for posting, such as advertisements, slander, defamation, etc.; ● 2. If the content violates other rights such as copyright of a third party; or ● 3. In case of violating other related laws or regulations set by the HAOC Article 10 Copyright Attribution Users cannot use the information obtained by using the service for commercial purposes by means of reproduction, transmission, publication, redistribution, broadcasting, or other methods without prior consent from the HAOC. However, this does not apply when a user uses it for personal or educational purposes. Article 11 Disclaimer ① The HAOC is exempted from all responsibility for providing the service if there are unavoidable reasons such as maintenance, replacement, regular inspection, and construction of service facilities, or if the telecommunication service provider fails to provide telecommunication services normally or cannot provide services due to force majeure. All liability for this is waived. ② The HAOC is not responsible for any damages incurred in connection with the use of the website. In addition, the HAOC may change or improve its contents and functions from time to time. ③ The HAOC is not responsible for any website errors or damages caused by reasons attributable to the user. ④ The HAOC is not obligated to intervene in disputes arising between users, or users and third parties on the website, nor is it responsible for compensating for damages arising from said disputes. Article 12 Matters Related to Linked Websites ① The HAOC is not responsible for any matters related to the protection of personal information and the contents of other sites provided through links on the website. Article 13 Fees and Paid Information ① Service use is essentially free. However, this is not the case for additional paid information and paid services set by the service. Article 14 Other ① Interpretation of these terms and conditions and matters not specified in these terms and conditions are governed by the relevant laws of the Republic of Korea. ② When a lawsuit is filed for a dispute arising from the use of the service, the court having jurisdiction over the organizing committee shall be the relevant court, and the applicable law shall be the relevant laws of the Republic of Korea. (Addendum) Article 1 Effective Date These terms will be effective from June 01, 2021. Consent to Collection of Personal Information When Registering as a Member 1. Items of personal information to be collected A. The HAOC collects the following minimum personal information as required items at the time of initial membership registration and provision of various services: ① General membership registration ● Identity verification: name, mobile phone number, date of birth, gender; and ● Input information: Name, ID, password, address, agency or association (individual if not affiliated), phone number, e-mail, e-mail reception status, etc. ② Foreign member registration ● Email Authentication; and ● Input information: Name, ID, password, address, agency or association (individual if not affiliated), phone number, e-mail, e-mail reception status, etc. B. In the process of using the service, the following information may be automatically generated and collected: -IP Address, visit date, service use record, and bad use record 2. Retention and use period of personal information A. In principle, personal information of users is destroyed without delay when the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved. B.When withdrawing from membership, both member information and personal services are deleted, and all deleted data is not retained by the HAOC. C.Posts made on the community board service are not deleted and remain after withdrawal. If you wish to delete a post, please be sure to delete the posts before applying for withdrawal. 3. Reporting personal information infringement A.
